Brand Radar looks up the index.
We go and ask the question.
Ahrefs built the biggest prompt-demand index in the category — hundreds of millions of prompts derived from real Google search demand. It answers a different question from ours, and it sits on top of an Ahrefs subscription.

So who are we?
Most AI visibility tools hand you a number. A score out of a hundred, a visibility index, a line that moved last week. What almost none of them hand you is the evidence underneath it — the answers the engines actually gave, how many times they were asked, and where the questions came from in the first place.
DoableClaw is built the other way round. Five questions, asked three times on each of four engines, and every one of those sixty answers kept in full on a link you can send to anyone. The number is a claim; the answer is what makes it checkable.
What DoableClaw actually does today
It finds the questions your buyers already ask — from Reddit threads, People-Also-Ask entries, search volume, the rivals already ranking, and your own Search Console — then asks each one twelve times across Google AI Overviews, Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Sixty are tested against quality gates and five survive as your locked benchmark, so next month measures the same five rather than a freshly chosen set.
The rival names are read out of the answers rather than typed in at setup, every figure prints the number of answers behind it, and a brand named once in three runs is re-asked nine more times before that counts as anything.
And the edge of it, stated here rather than discovered later: briefs and drafts — handing back the page itself rather than naming it — are in build and not shipped. Today you get the gap, the page or thread, and the evidence. What goes on the page is still yours to write.
What Ahrefs Brand Radar actually does
Ahrefs is best known for the biggest backlink index in the industry, plus keyword research, rank tracking and site audits. Brand Radar is its AI-era addition, and the interesting part is not the tracking — it is the corpus.
The AI Visibility Index is built from real Google search demand: a keyword index in the tens of billions plus People Also Ask, turned into a prompt set reported at 405 million and rising. You can look up any brand, competitor, topic or market instantly, with history, across seven platforms including Copilot and Grok. Nothing else in this category has a data asset like it, and we certainly do not.
The cost structure is the other half of the story. Brand Radar is charged per platform index or as a bundle, on top of an Ahrefs base plan, which is why independent reviewers put the realistic all-in figure well north of eight hundred dollars a month. There is a smaller entry for custom prompt tracking.

One question to ask any tool in this market
How many times did you ask? SparkToro and Gumshoe repeated the same prompts across ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI nearly 3,000 times, and two runs of one prompt returned the same list of brands less than once in a hundred. A separate 2026 study found gaps under roughly 5–7 points were indistinguishable from measurement noise.
3 runs per engine
12 answers behind every question, 60 per reading
Runs per prompt not published
index lookups plus custom prompt tracking
*These two tools are answering different questions, and that matters more here than the run count. Brand Radar mostly reports on a pre-built index of prompts derived from search demand — you look your brand up in it. We run a small set of your questions live, three times per engine, and keep the answers. An index tells you about a market at scale; a live run tells you what an assistant said today and lets you read it. Ahrefs does not publish a runs-per-prompt figure for its custom tracking, so that row says "not published" rather than a number we invented.
We ran it on ourselves first
A comparison page that only contains good news about the company that wrote it is worth nothing.
- Ahrefs is in the answers and we are not. On the five AEO questions we track for this market, across 59 answers, Ahrefs was named 15 times. DoableClaw was named zero times. Our own instrument, reporting on us.
- An older version of this page said we write drafts. It listed "writes the brief and the draft: yes, with sources" and priced a Growth plan that does not exist. Briefs and drafts are in build and not shipped. We removed the claim rather than wait to be caught by it.
- We rank ninety-first for our own category. "ai brand checker" brings us 94 impressions a month and we sit at position 91.4. The page exists and it is the right page — it simply has no standing yet.
- The one thing we will not pretend to match. An index of hundreds of millions of real prompts is a decade of crawling and a business we are not in. If what you need is market-scale lookup, we are not the answer and no amount of page copy changes that.

Common questions
The things people ask before they pick one.
Is Brand Radar the same as what you do? +
No, and this is the clearest difference on the site. Brand Radar mostly reports on a pre-built index of prompts derived from real search demand — you look your brand up in it. We run a small set of your questions live, three times on each engine, and keep every answer. Index versus live reading.
Should I drop Ahrefs? +
No. The backlink index, keyword research and rank tracking are not things we do at all, and Brand Radar's prompt corpus is not something we can match. If you already pay for Ahrefs, keep it.
How much does Brand Radar actually cost? +
More than the sticker, because it sits on top of an Ahrefs base plan. There is a small entry for custom prompt tracking, and the AI Visibility Index is charged per platform or bundled. Independent reviewers put a full setup well past eight hundred dollars a month. Price it on their page — we did not read those figures directly and have marked ours approximate.
How many times does Brand Radar run each prompt? +
Not published for its custom tracking, so we are not going to invent a number. It is a fair question to ask them, and to ask us — ours is three runs per engine, twelve answers per question, with nine more before a single lucky mention counts.
Do you have a prompt database like theirs? +
No. We find your questions from Reddit threads, People Also Ask, search volume, the rivals already ranking and your own Search Console, then test sixty and keep five. That is a different method with a different limit, and at market scale theirs wins.
Why does the number of runs matter? +
AI answers are non-deterministic. SparkToro and Gumshoe repeated the same prompts nearly 3,000 times and found two runs of one prompt returned the same brand list less than once in a hundred. A point built from one answer is one draw from that.
Can I use both? +
Yes, and they complement each other unusually well. Ahrefs for the market-scale picture and the backlink work; DoableClaw for a live reading of the handful of questions that decide your shortlist, with the answers attached.
